At this point of the evening I am drunkenly and incoherently rambling about plans for a trip to Europe visiting all of the monasteries and obtaining case after case of the World’s Greatest Beer.

Orval pours out of the bottle a hazy tawny with a big, fluffy creamy colored head. The aroma is sour with notes of cherry, oak, white grape, nectarine, peasant bread, yeast, cedar and hints of citrus and gala apple.
A good reminder to age your Orvals and taste them at multiple stages of maturation.
